Laguna Seca is one of the most popular and well respected courses in the world. I'm extremely happy that I am close enough to go there every once and a while. Most think of the famous cork screw turn when they hear of Laguna Seca but to be honest, that corner is one of the easier turns. The next corner (turn 9) is the one that separates the men from the boys.
I mainly went to test out a set of brake pads and beat my own record of 1.54.
This track is so much fun!!
I was testing out different camera angles the last time I went to LS and this is a collaboration of 4 different camera angles.

This track is definitely one of those tracks that is more about the driver than how much power the car has. I know that this should be the case all the time, but my point is that on some courses, you can make up the mistakes on the straights. Not with this course. It's very technical and has a lot of turns. It took me 3 sessions to finally know what's coming up next and even then I was still having issues. Oh well, I need to practice...a lot!
Special thanks to for letting me use their Video Vbox Lite. It recorded my laps with the speed, and Gs displayed on the video.
Some people may not associate a BMW as a drag racing car, but if they knew what some of these BMWs are capable of then they wouldn't think twice. Any car that is putting down close to 450 whp and 460 ft pounds of torque would provide excellent 1/4 mile results.
I've been trying to get into the 11.7s for so long and finally did it. Here is a video of my run.
The Roval is at California Speedway. The roval is a combination of the inside course and the oval course. This course benefits those with high horse power cars because of the really long straight away on the oval. I was able to hit 145 mph on the straight away.
I only have track video taken from the SD Camera at the moment, but below is an example of the HD Hero.
This video camera takes full HD 1080p video and can be mounted anywhere. The video is recorded on an SD card and I chose to use a 32GB so it would cover 2.5 hours of recording time. This kit came with 6 double sided tape mounts and a suction cup mount, and the camera is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

I was able to add an external microphone to the Gopro camera. Now, I can mount the mic anywhere that has the best sound while mounting the gopro anywhere.
Here is a video that I shot with the mic in the rear picking up the exhaust tone while having the camera up front.
