Welcome to my garage!
This page is dedicated to all of the cars that have been in my garage.
1987 VW Scirocco 16V (123 hp; 119 ft lbs)
This was the start of my obsession. I absolutely loved this car and it was one of the quicker cars around at the time. At this point in time, most people my age were driving Hondas, but there was something about this VW that I loved. It was so light compared to the other cars in the same class; it had a good amount of horsepower that came from a 1.8 liter I4 and the sound was amazing.
1991 VW Corrado G60 (158 hp; 166 ft lbs)
The 16V Scirocco was so nice, I needed to go with the replacement. The Corrado was powered by an 8 valve supercharged I4. I was too young to realize the potential of this engine. A smaller pulley followed by a tune would have created a good increase of power.
1962 Chevy Nova (250 hp; 285 ft lbs)
What?? This doesn't make sense does it. At the time, a lot of my friends were getting older cars. I noticed that if I found a good deal and knew a bit about cars then the car wouldn't depreciate and sometimes it would even apreciate. I purchased this '62 Nova for $3k and it really was a dumb decision. It was a quick purchase and I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Did I see it to be a big huge pile of rust? No. The roof leaked; the windows leaked; their were holes in the body panels, but the inside of the car was beautiful. The dash was painted and all of the knobs were chrome. The powertrain was also really nice. It had an L-82 Corvette engine; 350 cubic inches. Luckily I was able to sell it exactly for what I was able to purhcase it.
The Picture below is not the car I owned. I really wish mine looked this good but it didn't. However, the body style was the same.
1970 Plymouth Roadrunner (375 hp; ??? ft lbs)*
I wanted a 1968 Dodge Charger so bad, but either the ones that were around at the time were ridiculously expensive, or they were pieces of junk. Finally one day, I was driving down Beach Blvd and I saw this beautiful redish orange Roadrunner. This car was kind of oposite of the Nova. The outside was beautiful but the inside needed some work. The original engine that came with the car was the 383ci, but I purhcased it with a 440ci engine. I had the 727 transmission rebuilt once I got the car and it ran pretty well. I got around 8 mpg on a good day. I was able to sell this for 1500 more than what I purchased it for, but it makes me wonder what it would have been worth today.
* This was the power stock but the engine was most likely not making this amount of power when I had it.
1997 VW GTI VR6 (172 hp; 173 ft lbs)
I figured that I had my fun times with the older cars and wanted a nice new car that was reliable and didn't leak. So, I went with the MKIII GTI. This was a great car which had a pretty good amount of power and sat 4 people comfortably. It was a 5MT. I replaced the ECU chip and upgraded the wheels from the 15" to 16" wheels. (that was big for the time)
2001 BMW 330Ci (228 hp; 214 ft lbs)
I found a really good deal on this 330, so I had to get it. The entire time I had this car though, I would always wonder what an M3 would feel like with over 100 more hp. The M3 was my dream car at this time, and my dream was soon to come true. No matter how much I enjoyed this BMW, I needed to make a sacrifice that turned out to be a wise choice. I figured that spending money on a house would be better than spending it on a car, so this is what led me to get rid of this car. I didn't have it that long so no pictures were taken.
The picture below is not the car I owned but it closely resembles it.
2003 Mazda Protege5 (116 hp; 135 ft lbs)
It's hard to believe that this car had less hp than my Scirocco but it did. There was one reason why I drove this car and that was to save money. We owned a condo at the time the housing prices started going through the roof. So, I sold the 330 and purchased this Mazda so we could afford a house. Luckily we got in at the right time.
Although this car did 0-60 in like 9 seconds, it was a great car for daily commuting. It had a 5MT and got an average of 28 mpg.
2003.5 BMW M3 (333 hp; 262 ft lbs)
One of the funnest cars I've driven. Getting this car was an absolute dream come true! Although I really wanted to track this car, I never took this car to a road course. This car started my drag race hobby though. The first time I went to the strip, my time was in the 14s. I managed to get a 13.6 in the 1/4 completely stock with street tires and my best time modified was 13.004. I was so close to getting into the 12s. This car was the start of my modification obsession.

Eisenmann section 1 with Milltek Catback Exhaust
4.10 BMW Motorsport Gears
Euro Cross Drilled Rotors
2006 VW GLI (200hp; 207 ft lbs)
I don't care about what anyone says...it's really hard to fit a baby seat in the back of a coupe. Even if the seat fits, it's really hard to get the baby in the seat. The 4 door GTI wasn't out yet and the GLI seemed like a good choice. It was a fun car but I kept comparing this car to my M. It was a pretty quick car though and it served its purpose. I ended up doing quite a bit of modifying to this car because I was doing my best to make it as fun as the M3. It was a lot more fun than stock but it was never as fun as the M.
My best 1/4 mile time in the GLI was 14.08.
Neuspeded Intake
Spec Stage 2 clutch with lightweight flywheel
Peloquin's LSD
APR Downpipe with High Flow Cat (HFC)
Milltek Resonated Catback Exhaust
APR Beta Tune (22psi)
2007 BMW 335i (300 hp; 300 ft lbs)
This is the funnest car I have ever owned. I thought that the M3 was going to be the funnest but this car is the best by far! Since this car has a twin turbo 3.0 liter I6, it's so easy to get more power with a tune. The basic rule is, "Increase boost, and you've increased power." Of course, if you increase boost then you need to increase the fuel to keep the air to fuel ratios in check. i usually get fed up with my cars after a couple years but this car ceases to amaze me. Check my blogs or video sections for any recent information about any 1/4 mile times.
