I'm so excited to go to Laguna Seca on July 9th. I'll be testing out a race brake pad from Cool Carbon to see if it's good on the track. The last time I went to Laguna Seca I was only running GIAC stage 1 but I'll be running stage 2 this time. I'm really hoping that I can get a lap time in the 1:40s. I'll be happy with a 1:49. The last time I went, my best time was 1:54. Actually, I should just be happy to come back with everything in one piece.

I finally picked up a good set of wheels after I realized that one of my other wheels cracked all over. I'm extremely fortunate that one of the officers at my work noticed it before anything major happened. 4 of the 6 spokes were cracked. When I saw this, it made me realize how important it is to spend a good amount on a nice set of wheels. I always thought that it was crazy to spend a whole bunch on a set of wheels until I realized that the strength of the wheel is just as important as the weight of the wheel.
It was between the Volk TE37s or the Advan RS wheels. I chose the Advans because they seem to fit the BMW look better than the Volks (Also it's because I found a really good deal on a used set. :)
